Wow! Mercury is approaching Sag, Jupiter is approaching the Galactic Center along with Sun, Moon, and Pluto is already there waiting to strike transformation in our lives. I feel like the world is on the brink of a major transition. Forget the news, and the radio, and the blurred screen...make your own news, get out there an be galactic...return to your roots...and enjoy the heck out of this show!

Cosmic Weather 86!

Johnny Cash * Sun Quincunx Pluto * Listener Charts

Hello everyone, happy day as we've got singer/songwriter Johnny Cash, whose life was featured in the 2005 movie Walk the Line. What a sensationally deep movie, expressing everything you see in this man's chart! he was a Scorpio Moon in the 8th house with a Piscean Sun in the 12th, and he battled between escapism and divine inspiration for his music. Ultimately it was his love for June Carter that healed him and helped him overcome his addictions to Walk the Line! What a love story! Enough said...

Saturn goes into Sidereal Leo today which is supposedly big in India as astrologer priests across Indian will be performing their puja ceremonies, according to Moses Siregar! So say a prayer to Shani (Saturn) in Indian, and hope for the best from the wise elder time lord in the sign of creativity even as he gears up for Virgo this September in Western tropical astrology!

Special Feature: Poetic Astrology

Special Feature: Poetic Astrology

Well folks, I'm officially married, and that's why we missed doing the show this week. You try having 70 people at your house! At last, people are trickling away, and we're down to my four spiritual brothers... It was great seeing my mom and Grandparents after so many years!
I've been taking my friends on nature tours to water falls, so we've had a blast!

Anyway, to make up for our absence, I've posted a Special Feature of a talk I did at the AFA conference in Scottsdale AZ back in 2003. The title is Poetic Astrology, and it's all about storytelling the birth chart! So enjoy.

We have a busy last week of Spring as we approach the mighty Summer Solstice. How are you planning on using Mars' last moments in Aries before he cruises into relaxing Taurus!

Cosmic Weather 82!

Walt Whitman * Astrology VS Science * Gemini New Moon * Mercury Retrograde in Cancer

Lots happening this week as we launch into the last few weeks of Spring and get ready to melt into Summer. It's already blazing hot here thanks to global warming!

In today's show we go into the Mercury Retrograde in Cancer, the New Moon in Gemini and other juicy transits. We also debunk the debunkers as Astrology goes head-to-head with modern science. They might have more cultural prestige and funding, but we've got way more intelligence, heart, and spirit. Most scientists would love for astrology to be a thing of the past. But its influence in modern society is stronger than ever, and they can't understand why we won't give up this "ancient superstition". We invoke the aid of Valerie Vaughn with her most excellent article on the subject to combat the Astrology Defense Kit that so called scientists have unleashed into the public educational system to destroy astrology.

Also, we take a look at the enigmatic personage of Walt Whitman, the famous American poet that broke all the rules of decorum and launched an entire generation of great poets. His chart features a Gemini Sun with Aries Rising and a Leo Moon, but that's not all. How many charts have you see with a triple conjunction of Saturn, Chiron, and Pluto square to a Uranus-Neptune Conjunction? This guy was invented to influence multiple generations!

Here's the link. Enjoy the craziness!

Cosmic Weather 81!

Leonardo DiCaprio * Sun Oppose Jupiter * Listener Charts

Hi there everyone, Krysta and I are back with another installment of the Cosmic Weather, and this time we've gone too far! Well at least I've gone too far..right off the deep end, with Krysta there to sound the irrelevancy alarm as I splash into the waters of my own indignation! What am I indignant about? Well shall we start with religion, politics, or science...LOL

Anyway, we hope you laugh as hard as we did while giving birth to another show! Always fun, slightly edgy, this show might piss a few people off, but hey, that's entertainment, right? At least we're honest to the bitter blunt biting core!

And who would want to miss the show with Mr. Leo-mania himself, who isn't even a Leo for heaven's sake, but a Scorpio with Libra Rising and a Libra Moon, posing as a Leo...well, at least in name. Anyway, we're glad to be back in action, and hope you enjoyt he heck out of us jabbering!

Special Feature!

The Celestial Mandala: Astrological Seasons of the Soul

Sorry 'bout the missed show last week. I was on location filming interviews with astrologers in Seattle at the NORWAC conference. What an amazing time we all had. That's three conferences under my belt and about 100 hours of HD footage. I took the red eye plane from Seattle to NC last night and had the great pleasure to watch the Full Moon in Sagittarius set out the airplane window. It was so awesome that I broke out my camera and filmed it over the mystical puffy cloudage. What a cool scene.

Six months ago with the New Moon in Sag I received a vision about creating a certain astrology documentary. Now at the Full Moon check point, I've come to ask if I'm FULLfilled in my 12th house vision, and the answer is an overwhelming yes! It has been quite the journey, and my body is tired from the strain of travel and much hard work, but now is not the time to let up. I still must film the dramatic elements of the story and edit it all together! But it was so delicious to receive a full moon vision on the plane about the exact direction I need to head in to bring the project to completion. I met with Chris Brennan and Michelle Gould of AYA, and we are teaming up to put on the movie night of your life at UAC in Denver next May. Hope to see you there!

To honor the cycles, I've uploaded a lecture I did at Hunter College in NYC for their annual NCGR conference. I talked about the transits and how to dive into a chart in terms of elucidating the various seasons of the soul. Enjoy...and you'll hear from Krysta and I on Monday!

Cosmic Weather 79!

Johann Kepler * Taurus New Moon * Chart Interpretation Tips

Hello folks! We had to take a forced Spring Break hiatus and now everyone's back in action, and we have an interesting show for your listening pleasure. First of all the sky is in an uproar, or maybe we should call it an up-snore, since both the Sun and Moon are going to be squaring Neptune the planet of dreams this week. Have you been feeling tired lately, especially with the Balsamic Moon phase over the last weekend? If you're not falling asleep, then you're not tuning into the cosmic dance! So, pay attention and dream, that's the message of the week!

And who is this bum on i-tunes saying we suck as a podcast? We need loyal listeners to get on the i-tune music store and let them know how valuable the show is to you. Let them know how the show has deepened your astrological insight. And if we really do suck, let us know that too! Tell us what you'd rather see. You can email me at kellyleephipps@gmail.com, so get on it and make up your own survey. LOL

Also this week we offer some handy dandy chart interpretation tips, and then we dive into the natal chart of the famous mystical mathematician/astrologer Johann Kepler, whom the new Kepler College of Arts and Sciences is named for! This guy was way cool, what with Neptune on his Gemini Ascendant and major connections to all three outer planets. What a voice for his generation! Check it out. Here's the link!

Cosmic Weather 78!

Robert Smith * Scorpio Full Moon * Sun/Moon/ASC

This week we have an extended celestial forecast stretching through May 8th, because Krysta will be out of town next weekend. We have lots of interesting transits for your creative usage this week, including a Grand Fire Trine between Jupiter, Saturn, and Ceres!

In Astrology Illustrated we show how you can quickly and easily interpret the Sun, Moon, Ascendant triad and blow your friends away with amazing accuracy.

I've always wondered about the chart of the lead singer of my favorite musical group, The CURE's Robert Smith. And even without a birthtime he has some amazing aspect configurations showing that despite his whining voise and brooding whimsical lyrics, he has been a force in the alternative rock scene since the mid-Seventies.

Enjoy the show. Here's the link!

Cosmic Weather 77!

Expect the chaos factor to go up a few notches! And then there's Venus trying to get in on the action! Whew!

Krysta conducted an interview with astrologer Zane Stein, who has a very informative article on Eris, the new dwarf planet lurking out beyond Pluto, in the current issue of Mountain Astrologer.

Also we have our Supernova star born today as the show releases, Michael Moore, the contoversial documentary filmmaker!

Maria Kay Simms * Lunation Cycle * Mars conjoins Neptune * Mercury conjoins Uranus

Welcome to another exciting episode of the Cosmic Weather, where we have a special focus on the events of the Blast Astrology Conference coming up this week. Hundreds of astrologers are flocking to Sedona, Arizona to take part in a special event that some are calling the "Woodstock" of Astrology. Don't miss this event, envisioned and created by astrologer Moses Siregar III. So come join Moses and friends in the desert and get enlightened.

I will be filming the conference in HD, and so if you can't go but want to see these amazing lectures, you can always purchase a DVD from Moses in early May!

Also this week, we've got Astrology Illustrated with a discussion of Moon Phases! We take a look at another book review of Soul Tides, Moon Passages by Maria Kay Simms, a true wise elder and artist of astrology. We also took time to check out her natal chart in our Supernova Star segment. Enjoy the show, and at last I hope to see you in Sedona. Benjamin will be there too performing his Guirilla Marketing for Astrologers Lecture. And on Sunday we have the 1971 lineup with Maurice Fernandez, Eric Meyers, Bill Street, and me! It should be exciting, especially since my Tao of Astrology lecture starts just two minutes before the Mercury conjunction to Uranus. We'll see what the cosmos has in store!

Here's the link and enjoy the cosmic journey into the ever-emerging rhythmic archetypal resonance!

Cosmic Weather 73!

Rick Tarnas * NCGR Keynote Speech * Mars oppose Saturn

I returned from the annual NCGR National conference last Monday, but was in no mood to record the show. After working so hard at the conference to capture 19 hours of High Definition footage for the astrology documentary, I came down with an incredible sickness that took me out for a week. I'm still coughing. What a season of release! Eclipses are like that. At the hotel on Friday March 9th, I went to bed at 7:30 PM and began shivering and shaking, and my temperature rose to 103! I felt like Zeus (Jupiter is conjunct my Ascendant) was striking me with lightning bolts all night, and like the bed was a sea of sweat. Nevertheless, after some internal rebirthing, I was able to go strong into the next two days, but when Monday rolled around, I crashed hard! Sorry for no show last week!

I had the great honor and pleasure of meeting and sharing time with Doctor Rick Tarnas, the revered astrologer and scientist who wrote both the Passion of the Western Mind and Cosmos & Psyche. I think I filmed 8 hours of footage just on him alone. His archetypal workshop was amazing. His interview was brilliant! And his Keynote address, which we have for you to hear in our Astrology Illustrated segment was inspiring!

Hope you enjoy the heck out of the show, and excuse my coughing!

Cosmic Weather 72!

David Gilmour * Sun Conjunct Uranus * Eclipses Revisited

Finally, Mercury goes direct this week, and whew! What a week it's been! We are finally on the Dark Side of the Moon. The Cosmic Weather server crashed from some crazy national virus, and we couldn't upload a show all week, so we waited to record when the server was rebirthed.

The yogurt has hit the proverbial fan and everyone I know has been intensely stressed out with Saturn oppose Neptune, dissolving realities, Mercury Retrograde in Pisces and late Aquarius, and all the Lunar Full Moon Eclipse business conjucnt Uranus. Anything could've happened and it certainly did.

On a positive note, I'm traveling with Benjamin tomorrow to Maryland for the annual NCGR gathering of astrologers. It should be an amazing conference and I'm starting my astrology documentary! So if you're at the confererence and would like to volunteer, I'll be there! Woohoo!

Here's the link. Enjoy!

Madonna * Dennis Harness * Vedic Astrology

This week we take a fascinating look at the Astrology of India and have an interview with Dennis Harness, author of The Nakshatras, a pioneering Vedic astrologer in the West.

In addition, we have Madonna as our Supernova Star of the Week, and after Krysta and I analyze her chart through the lens of modern Western tropical astrology, Dennis breaks her chart down with Vedic techniques!

Mercury Retrograde has inflamed some people I've noticed, but everything is getting back on track if we can release our emotion and let if flow! We've got Venus square Pluto to help the process and two sign changes! Venus is cruising into Aries while Mars is floating into Aquarius. So it should be an exciting week!

Here's the link! Enjoy!

After the interview Kyrsta and I take a look at Demetra's chart!

And if that wasn't enough, we also have Nikola Tesla's chart

This week we take a look at two really cool books: Asteroid Goddesses by Demetra George and Star Names: Their Lore and Meaning, by Richard Allen. Hope you enjoy this new segment!

This is an exciting week with the Pisces Stellium and the big Fixed T-cross bulding up all week long between Sun/Neptune, Saturn, and the Moon late in the week. Should be a great week for shaking up relationships that have gone dull, and for new beginnings in the realm of creative imagination!

Cosmic Weather 65!

W.B Yeats * Mars conjunct Pluto * Faraway Guest Yogi from Jersey

From Kelly Lee Phipps, creator of the Cosmic Weather:

Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year! At last the Cosmic Weather features a Dead Poet! Hurray!!! And who knows, with the NFL playoffs in full swing we might get a famous football player, especially since the Superbowl is coming!

It will most likely be a week of initiating changes in your structures with Mars aligning with Pluto and the Galactic Center all trine to Saturn in Leo. Get creative and induce those new mutations according to the great rhythms of the cosmos! Also this week, relationships are in high focus as Venus once again conjuncts Chiron in Aquarius. Remember January last year, when we were all in relationship reflection/crisis mode? This year should be a little easier with no Venus retrograde into Capricorn, but nevertheless, ask yourself how you can bring more refinement and craftsmanship into your art and your partnerships!

We've got a Live Guest caller from Hawaii on the show, one of my best friends on the planet, a yogi from Jersey who loves the Steelers. Go figure! He's into yoga as much as I am into astrology, and he has taken two astrologer training courses, one with me back in 2000. With a fellow zany sense of humor plus a nice grounded Virgo Moon, he just might be the next scintillating co-host of the Cosmic Weather!

Cosmic Weather 64!

Benjamin Resigns * Full Cancer Moon * Mercury Sextile Uranus

From Kelly Lee Phipps, creator of the Cosmic Weather.

That's right folks, you read that correctly. Benjamin is moving on to pursue other activities which he describes eloquently in this week's podcast. I want to thank him for a great dynamic partnership over the last 64 shows and for all his hard work making print-outs, doing research, handling the technical editing, and adding his great sense of humor and life experiential wisdom to the show.

Who knows where the New Year will take the Cosmic Weather from here! I'm very excited about exploring new directions with Jupiter in Sag! Stay tuned and we'll see what happens. Benjamin and I will continue doing Unique Chart Interpretations through January, so if you are still aching to have your chart read by this dynamic duo, then place your order now!

We have a new democratic congress coming in this week on the 4th, the same day Mercury sextiles Uranus, electrifying the debate, helping us to move toward liberation and true freedom as a nation (at least her in America!)

Check out our last exciting show as a team as we look at the Ingress chart for America and break things down play-by-play for the year 2007!
